This project was the first project in which <a href="https://www.ndsg.net.nz" target="_blank">NDSG</a> experimented with optimisation to design a storage system. Once the design phase was complete we researched methods to implement the design. The final implementation was not used by DES, but as a result of our research the storage system used by DES was updated to a centralised storage system.

This project involves the design of massive storage systems and is a collaboration with the Storage Systems Research Centre at UCSC.
