This work predominantly used OPNET Modeler for simulation and ACE for measuring data traffic. This software was licensed via OPNET's University Program. For more details see the OPNET website.

We were very lucky in this project to obtain help with OPNET Modeler from Vasil Hnatyshin (Department of Computer Science, Rowan University, New Jersey, USA).
