---+ Creating a New Model

You can create a new model file by clicking on the _New_ icon <img width="19" alt="new_icon.png" src="/twiki/pub/OpsRes/NewArenaModel/new_icon.png" height="22" /> , selecting _File > New_ or pressing _Ctrl + N_.

Arena will open a new model file with a blank flowchart view. There will also be some templates available on the left hand side.

<a href=#fig1>Figure 1</a> shows the templates with _Flow Process_ as the active template.
